The A - Z Challenge

Hurry. Hurry. Post each day.
We post each day until it's May.

I done it once,
I done it twice,
I definitely have done it thrice.

Maybe I've even done it four.
It's got me shouting, "No more! No more!"

It's not that A to Z isn't fun.
It's a game to be played by everyone.

However, now that I've had my fun each year.
The time has come to make it clear . . .

I'm done.

It's hard to believe on my first year,
Daily April posting was so dear.
I had so much fun that I must say,
I posted Z - A in May.

I guess I'm getting older, folks.
Not enough time to read your jokes.
To not visit another blog,
makes me feel like an A-Z hog.

So my mind's made up on this day,
I'm through with this April game to play.

If next year I should sign the list,

STOP ME!

#AtoZ : The Queen

Her hard, smooth body slides to capture whoever gets in her way. One space, or clear across the board, gives her power unlike the others. She cleverly works with her lower ranks to plan her attack. To lose her makes a win difficult at best for she is the queen.

#AtoZ E - Enough Dang Gummit!

In a 5-4 vote, our fair and impartial Supreme Court decided to allow rich people to buy elections. You can just guess how these folks voted. I have lost all respect for the justices on the Supreme Court.

Now that there is no ceiling on what billionaires can spend on their candidates, two things could happen.

1.) Peggy Lee's vision of the rich getting richer (and the middle class disappearing). Forget about our environment or programs for the have nots. The rich will make sure to elect those to protect their interests and screw everyone else.

OR

2.) Billionaires will waste their money on failed campaigns, and I will laugh!

Let's hope for #2!

D is for Dead, Dead, Deadsky

On Monday, my computer failed to project my lesson to my high-tech Promethean Board; so, I did what we're told to do: I turned off my computer. This would have been great had the machine turned back on. Nope. I poked, tapped, and held the button down for an insane amount of time, but the computer is dead, dead, deadsky. Luckily, I just backed it up last week. Even still, I lost part of today's lesson and had to hustle to rewrite it. Technology is great when it works, but when it doesn't . . .

Word of advice:

BACK UP YOUR COMPUTER, NOW!

#AtoZ Challenge: A = Agent Harold Wolfe

After five completed manuscripts and years of writing, I'm thrilled to announce that I found a terrific agent who is howling to represent me and Mrs. Zimmerman's Donuts! I'm referring to the wild and wonderful Agent Harold Wolfe of The Wolfe Literary Agency in New York City.

Mr. Wolfe has been prowling the book market for several years and, as a result, has sunk his teeth into his own unique style. In fact, he hates query letters, stating that he'd rather talk to someone than read a letter; so, Mr. Wolfe invites authors to call his office (212) 439-6500 and ask for Harry Wolfe.

What a rare species he is! He also welcomes visitors, so feel free to stop by his agency from 10:00-5:00 at the corner of:

64th Street and Fifth Avenue
New York, New York 10021
